About The Position

Wellhart is seeking a Physician specializing in Internal Medicine for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Mississippi. This 120-day assignment begins on 06/23/2025, with a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, starting at 6 am on Sundays. Duties include rounding, admitting, and discharging patients, as well as occasional OB consultations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with acute respiratory failure and diabetes management, and be proficient with the Medhost system. A valid Mississippi state license is also required for this position.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Manage an average of 13 patients per day 

• Admit approximately 3 patients daily 

• Handle low-level ICU cases 

• Perform patient rounds 

• Admit and discharge patients 

• Provide occasional OB consultations 

• Manage acute respiratory failure cases 

• Treat and monitor diabetes patients 

• Utilize Medhost system for patient records and management

• Valid Mississippi medical license required 

• Experience with Medhost system preferred
