- Lead rotating shift employees performing complex printing operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements
- Conduct daily shift meetings, communicate production priorities, and coordinate handoffs with outgoing supervisors
- Assign daily work and ensure production schedules are executed efficiently
- Verify work orders and coordinate material requirements with warehouse personnel
- Monitor process control indicators and address out-of-control conditions to maintain product quality
- Troubleshoot machine and equipment issues and coordinate maintenance support as needed
- Manage staffing, scheduling, vacation coverage, and daily workforce allocation within the press room
- Train, coach, and support new employees and temporary workers in safe and effective machine operation
- Review daily performance expectations and provide ongoing direction to team members
- Create, maintain, and communicate work instructions and operating procedures
- Complete production reports, timecards, maintenance work orders, personnel records, and other required documentation
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, environmental requirements, and operational procedures
- Conduct supervisor audits and observations to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate production schedules to meet shipping deadlines and customer demand requirements
- Utilize operational data, work instructions, process controls, and FMEA tools to resolve process and product quality issues
- Report non-conforming materials and process deviations into the Non-Conformance Management System
- Support special projects and perform additional responsibilities as assigned

- High school diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of experience in a printing or packaging manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory experience or leadership training required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills and ability to utilize production reporting systems
- Knowledge of current and emerging printing technologies
- Understanding of ink systems, solvents, hazardous materials, and waste handling practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts
- Ability to work in an environment with strong odors and exposure to hazardous materials
