SUMMARY
Warehouse parts picker is responsible for accurately selecting, packing and preparing parts for shipment or internal distribution. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, meeting productivity standards, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.Â
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick parts and materials from inventory locations using pick lists or RF scanners
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and condition to ensure order accuracy
- Package, label and stage picked items for shipment or delivery
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, carts and hand trucks
- Perform inventory checks and report discrepancies or damaged items
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Follow all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines
- Assist with receiving, stocking or cycle counts as needed
- Meet productivity and accuracy standards consistently
- Demonstrate teamwork and respect by working constructively with co-workers to achieve the best results possible
- All other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager
LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- No Supervisory responsibilities
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESÂ
- High school diploma/ GED
- Previous warehouse or picking experience preferred
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members
- Dependable, punctual and able to work well in a team environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and reach for extended periods of time
- Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, etc.)
