Warehouse Parts Picker

SUMMARY
Warehouse parts picker is responsible for accurately selecting, packing and preparing parts for shipment or internal distribution. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, meeting productivity standards, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pick parts and materials from inventory locations using pick lists or RF scanners
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and condition to ensure order accuracy
• Package, label and stage picked items for shipment or delivery
• Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, carts and hand trucks
• Perform inventory checks and report discrepancies or damaged items
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Follow all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines
• Assist with receiving, stocking or cycle counts as needed
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards consistently
• Demonstrate teamwork and respect by working constructively with co-workers to achieve the best results possible
• All other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager

LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• No Supervisory responsibilities

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

• High school diploma/ GED
• Previous warehouse or picking experience preferred
• Basic math and reading skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members
• Dependable, punctual and able to work well in a team environment
   
   

PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, walk, bend and reach for extended periods of time
• Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, etc.)
