Under general supervision, responsible for zone maintenance, vehicle receiving & shipping, inventory scanning, vehicle movement (both on and off lot), lot wash/merchandising, taking and uploading photos to carmax.com, as well as providing exceptional customer service. Duties include executing processes as defined by work instructions and/or standardized work, participating in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities with team, training new associates with guidance, providing outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers, ensuring daily lot maintenance and security of display areas and work-in-progress zones, securing and receiving vehicles shipped to CarMax, prepping vehicle and title packets for shipping to other locations, completing scanning of vehicles to ensure accurate product status, washing and vacuuming customer returns and loaner vehicles, completing front-lot wash, performing Photo Station process, driving vehicles on and off lot for repairs/storage, supporting Auctions if applicable, maintaining workplace cleanliness and organization according to CarMax 5S standards, and completing duties assigned by Flow Inventory Associate IVs and Managers. Position requires current driver’s license meeting CarMax DSEPS standards, ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data for accurate records, high school diploma or equivalent preferred, ability to execute defined processes, completion of Inventory Associate Workstation Certifications & Assigned Workday Learnings, and ability to safely lift up to 50lbs. Working conditions include indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes noisy or inclement weather, flexible work hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, walking or standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment, wearing CarMax clothing, and adherence to CarMax, OSHA, and EPA standards including PPE use and proper waste disposal.
