General Description/Primary Purpose

Help Shape, Protect and Grow a University Brand

The University of North Florida is seeking a University Licensing Manager to elevate the University’s retail presence and brand. This role merges brand strategy and creative collaboration, offering the opportunity to make a visible impact on how UNF is presented in the marketplace and to grow school spirit.

 

Job Functions:

Grow and Elevate the Brand

  • Partner closely with retailers and UNF’s collegiate licensing vendor to expand retail offerings and develop innovative licensing opportunities.

  • Identify partnerships that enhance brand visibility while driving meaningful revenue.

  • Develop and execute strategies to elevate UNF’s reputation through strong licensed products.

Build Strong Partnerships

  • Serve as a key relationship manager for licensing partners and vendors.

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for engaging with vendors and supporting program goals.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including athletics, marketing, student groups, and alumni groups, to ensure smooth execution and high‑quality outcomes.

Guard the UNF Brand

  • Under the guidance of the Director of Brand and Visual Identity, protect the University’s trademarks and visual identity across licensed products and promotional materials to ensure full alignment with brand standards.

Drive Insight & Revenue

  • Conduct market research to track retail trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.

  • Use insights to inform strategy and continuously grow both school spirit and licensing revenue.

 

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree and 1+ year of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience (Equivalent combinations considered per Florida statute).

  • Support marketing and communications initiatives as needed.
