We’re Jacksonville's only locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system and provide a full spectrum of preventive and specialty care through 200+ locations and six hospitals. The APP Supervisor is a practicing clinician who provides frontline operational oversight, team coordination, and peer leadership for APPs within a designated specialty or service line. This role supports the service line by assisting with hiring, onboarding, competency development, schedule oversight, performance feedback, and workflow optimization.
The APP Supervisor collaborates with physician leadership, operational managers, nursing leaders, and the APP Professional Development & Education Specialist to ensure a high-performing and well-supported APP workforce. While not always the formal employment manager, the APP Supervisor holds substantial influence through peer leadership, mentorship, and oversight of operational consistency across the service line. The Supervisor functions as a dyad partner to operational leadership, contributing to performance discussions, workflow reliability, and team alignment.
