About the Role:
San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, FL is looking for a talented and passionate Banquet Line Cook to join our culinary team! Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute high-quality banquet meals for events of varying sizes and styles
- Set up and break down banquet line stations efficiently before and after service
- Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and presentation
- Coordinate with banquet and kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and service
- Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation following FIFO standards
- Uphold strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
- Assist with prep work including chopping, portioning, and mise en place for upcoming events
Requirements:
- 1+ years of line cook or banquet cooking experience in a hotel, club, or restaurant setting
- Solid knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced banquet kitchen environment
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication and time management skills
