The candidate will join the medical intensivist team which includes both physicians and advanced practice providers.   BC/BE Fellowship training – Critical Care Medicine Competitive Compensation 12 bed closed ICU managed by Critical Care team Work with a team of experienced and highly skilled physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners Day physician coverage with in-house APPs at night 7 on/ 7 off schedule Clinical Duties   Participate in efficient quality care of critically ill patients, regardless of setting, in accordance with latest guidelines and treatment paradigms Some patients to be admitted to the ICU have improved outcomes when resuscitation begins in the Emergency Department or a Med-Surg Unit. Participation in the care of these patients is desirable and expected. Patient evaluation and formation of a comprehensive treatment plan with multi-disciplinary input. Direct and enforce efficient care and resource utilization. Evidenced-based, but not restrictive, compliance with Critical Care standard operating procedures and protocols. Physiologic-based management of austere critical care patients. Performance of procedures including, but not limited to, central venous access, artery catheterization, intubation, bronchoscopy, para/thoracentesis as well as ventilator management. Privileges commensurate with experience and privileges. Clinical supervision of Advanced Practice Providers (APP’s) for Critical Care. Coordination of daily multi-disciplinary rounds for the Critical Care patients. **In addition, some patients transferred out of the ICU on ventilators or with complex issues will benefit from follow-up care during the transitional phase.** QualificationsEducation/Certification: NC Medical License
