Job Summary: |
The e-Commerce Jewelry Associate is responsible for performing a variety of duties as it pertains to the Jewelry Dept. that support Goodwill of North Florida’s on-line sales of donated items. The incumbent will be assigned a primary role but will be cross-trained in several different areas that will include sorting, taking photographs, listing and fulfilling orders. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Education | High school diploma required. |
Experience | Some work experience and knowledge of jewelry brand names and styles helpful. Some experience with Internet searches and use of computer technology preferred. Some experience with online digital photography preferred. Online e-Bay or Amazon listing experience strongly preferred. |

Other | - Strong written communication skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate good judgment in recognizing jewelry items appropriate for sale.
- Data entry and typing skills.
- Must have basic computer skills including navigating on the internet and web-browsing.
- Must be familiar with key Internet sites including eBay and Amazon.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Able to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures.
- Able to maintain good relationships with coworkers and management and work well in a team environment.
- Must be flexible and willing to learn.

- Responsible for handling various aspects of the e-Commerce Jewelry Department
- Processing donations according to standard operating procedures
- Must meet or exceed established quotas for quantity and quality of work
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Responsible for following loss prevention guidelines and safety/security measures
- Will be required to sort, list, photograph, and process jewelry orders through fulfillment.
- Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.
Sorting Duties: - Sort and examines each product to determine the correct condition, manufacturer, brand, style, and other pertinent criteria.
- Conduct independent, online research to determine the value and authenticity of items that are initially identified as viable for eCommerce sales.
- Evaluate, clean, and research product as needed.
- Identify stones, sterling silver, gold and unique items for the Jewelry Manager to review and approve for listing.
- Move and store product from the warehouse to the staging area for processing.
Photography Duties - Inspect approved SGW items for cleanliness and damage.
- Carefully clean/polish/repair product as needed.
- Arrange product using stands, bases, back-drops and other props to display the item.
- Photograph the product as clearly and attractively as possible ensuring that all tags,
maker’s marks, labels and other pertinent information on or inside the item are captured. - Secure, maintain and store photographic equipment.
- Meet minimum daily listing goals.
Listing Duties: - Writes concise, appealing and accurate descriptions necessary to list items to maximize e-Commerce sales.
- Create Inventory Slips for listed items and properly place into inventory.
- Upload product information into computer.
- List all items accurately, comprehensively, with no typos or spelling errors.
- Post descriptions and photos on to market web sites.
- Provide information to the e-Commerce CSR for customer service inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the listing area.
- Meet minimum daily listing goals.
Fulfillment Duties - Pull sold orders from inventory for shipping.
- As needed, pull sold items for customer pick up and secure in designated area
- Properly package sold product.
- Create Shipping Labels following UPS and USPS guidelines.
