Description

About OKSI

For over 30 years, OKSI has built electro-optical and infrared sensing systems for GPS-denied navigation, target detection, terminal guidance, and multispectral imaging across air, ground, and space platforms β€” pairing custom EO/IR hardware with AI/ML autonomy software.

The Role

OKSI is growing its physical footprint across multiple locations nationwide, and we need someone who can keep each of them running safely, reliably, and efficiently. This role owns facility operations end to end β€” building systems, vendor relationships, preventative maintenance, and workspace planning β€” across a distributed, multi-site portfolio. It's a hands-on, travel-intensive position for someone comfortable managing priorities across geography rather than from behind a single desk.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee daily facility operations across multiple OKSI locations β€” maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance programs, and service coordination
  • Coordinate service of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting) across all sites
  • Manage vendor and service provider relationships β€” janitorial, landscaping, waste management, utilities, repair contractors β€” at each location
  • Support facility upgrades, workspace changes, and infrastructure projects, prioritizing by each site's operational needs
  • Coordinate workspace layouts, furniture, and reconfigurations to support team growth
  • Track facility equipment, supplies, and maintenance materials; coordinate procurement
  • Monitor conditions across all sites and address building-related safety concerns
  • Assist in tracking facility expenses (maintenance, utilities, repairs, improvements)
  • Respond to facility emergencies and disruptions, coordinating vendors remotely or on-site as needed
  • Travel regularly between OKSI locations for site assessments, project oversight, and consistency across facilities

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years managing facilities, building operations, or infrastructure maintenance
  • Experience coordinating preventative maintenance programs
  • Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems
  • Experience managing vendors and service providers
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills across distributed locations
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills across remote and in-person teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facility tracking systems
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting engineering, laboratory, or technical environments
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting
  • Experience coordinating office expansions or workspace planning
  • CFM or FMP certification

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $92,000 – $125,208 annually. Β New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budget allocated for this role.Β
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage fully paid by the employer for employees
  • Three weeks of vacation to start
  • Automatic company contribution to 401K – 5% of earned wages (no matching required)
  • Educational assistance and professional development opportunities
  • In-office/ hybrid (Jacksonville, AK) or remote work (United States) available (position dependent)

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have, or be eligible to obtain, a U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance. You will be subject to government security investigations and must be able to access classified information. The inability to obtain a security clearance will result in you being ineligible for the position.
