Job DetailsJob Location: ORTHO PM - Jacksonville, FL 32256Position Type: Full TimeMedical Assistant – Orthopedic Office We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our orthopedic team. The Medical Assistant will play an important role in supporting providers and delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome and room patients, obtain vital signs, and document accurate patient histories Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and follow-up visits Assist physicians and providers with orthopedic examinations and in-office procedures Obtain and document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) Assist with casting, splinting, bracing, wound care, and other orthopedic-related clinical needs as trained Prepare and maintain examination rooms and clinical equipment Coordinate imaging, referrals, labs, and other patient care needs Assist with patient education and provide instructions regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and organizational policies and procedures Provide exceptional customer service and help create a positive patient experience Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed to support the orthopedic practice Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification preferred Previous medical assistant or orthopedic experience preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered care Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Join our team and make a difference in the lives of patients while supporting a collaborative orthopedic practice dedicated to providing exceptional care.
