This role at GE Aerospace鈥檚 Jacksonville site focuses on preparing, molding, curing, and finishing electronic component parts using precise formulas, fixtures, computerized ovens, and vacuum processes to meet strict operating standards. Candidates work from layouts and specifications, use a variety of tools and measurement devices, and actively participate in a lean, 5S teaming environment while meeting physical and safety requirements, including FAA/DOT screenings. Roles and Responsibilities:

Role Summary:

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Mix calculated compound ratios specified per formula and written specifications, blending materials, weighing, and heating as prescribed

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Install parts in fixtures, create reservoir and install spacers as required

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Operate computerized ovens per specifications to ensure curing times and cycles are maintained as required

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Vacuum cycle the parts as required to evacuate air and humidity

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Clean components to remove excess compound and flash to ensure cosmetic appearance

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform shelf-life audits daily as required

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, you will:

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Work from layouts, prints, specifications, route sheets and general instructions

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Review requirements, select appropriate mold / fixtures and obtain necessary materials

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prepare work area to ensure clean working surface

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Use of hand tools, weight scale, molds, fixtures, vibrator, vacuum chamber, ovens, air gun, solvents and arbor press

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Check work at prescribed intervals to ensure compliance with operating standards

Qualifications/Requirements

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Basic computer skills

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Basic math skills

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Basic ERP skills

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Basic written and verbal communications skills

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Use of measurement devices (i.e. scales, calculators, rulers)

Eligibility Requirements:

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to stand for extended periods of time

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to work with hazardous materials and in an environment with fumes and chemicals

聽聽聽聽聽聽 High School diploma or GED

聽聽聽聽聽聽This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.聽
