General Description/Primary Purpose

The School of Computing is seeking a 9-month, tenure earning faculty position in computing. Candidates may be considered for hire at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, depending on experience and qualifications. Position responsibilities include teaching two courses per semester in fall and spring, research, and service.


Supervisor: This position will report to the Director of the School of Computing.


Working Hours: Varies 


Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role.


Required Licensure: N/A 


Required Qualifications:

  • Must have been awarded a PhD (or will have been awarded a PhD) in the field of Computing from an accredited institution by the employment start date
  • Must demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and in research

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:

  • Candidates with research interests in theoretical computer science
  • Demonstrated potential to be actively involved in service activities, including participation in governance in accordance with the vision and mission of the School, College and University

 

Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on August 2, 2027.
