PROJECT COORDINATORÂ Â

Summary:Â
Plans, directs, and/or coordinates work activities and the resources necessary per the directions given by the Project Manager / Superintendent in charge.Â
Â
Duties and Responsibilities:Â
- Work with production and estimating to initiate job setup, schedules, and manpower needs.Â
- Assist the superintendent with determining goals and objectives and ensure that all production members and subcontractors are aware of milestones and target dates.Â
- Ensure safety policies are being enforced.Â
- Monitor progress to ensure production deadlines are met.Â
- Attend all meetings and assist with resolving production problems such as, quality assurance, subcontractors, and the customer’s representatives.Â
- Communicate with direct customers in a professional manner and ensure customer satisfaction.  Â
- Work day begins at 0530.Â
- Ability to communicate using Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PP, Project) and email.Â
- Work with trade supervisors to coordinate efficient installs safely, on time and under budget.Â
- Ability to develop, track and communicate a working schedule.Â
- Ability to forecast, track, adjust labor/ material budget for overall contract success.Â
- Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes.Â
- Compiles reports concerning progress of work.Â
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve skills.Â
Experience Requirements:Â
- 2+ years Superintendent experience in the Ship Repair or Marine Industry.Â
- Oral and written communications, interpersonal relations, and managerial techniques.Â
- Must have working knowledge of bulkhead and habitability space construction Â
- Must have experience working on CVN type shipsÂ
Â
Other Requirements:Â
- Must be able to obtain a Government facility security pass.Â
- Must be able to pass Drug Screening, Work Ability ScreeningÂ
