Power the future of Space at Star Catcher
Star Catcher is powering the future of space by building the world’s first orbital energy grid: the Star Catcher Network. Spacecraft connect into the Star Catcher Network and receive conditioned energy via their existing solar arrays, requiring no retrofit to utilize the first true space-based infrastructure. The Star Catcher Network provides power as needed from tens of Watts to tens of thousands of Watts at concentrations from fractions of a Sun of flux to ten Suns of flux.Â
The Star Catcher Network enables More Uptime, More Bandwidth, and More Mission.
Join our team of experienced and passionate space innovators driven to transform and expand humanity’s utilization of space. The creation of space-based power infrastructure is as impactful for space missions in the 2020’s and 2030’s as the advent of low-cost launch services was in the 2010’s. We seek individuals who share our passion for enabling people to do more in space and are not afraid to get their hands dirty to make our vision of the future reality.
Star Catcher Industries, Inc. (Star Catcher), located in Jacksonville, Florida, is looking for an ambitious, execution-focused Proposal & Capture Manager to own our end-to-end acquisition process, develop win strategies, and lead multi-million-dollar proposal efforts across commercial and defense customers.

What You’ll Do
- Own the Capture & Proposal Lifecycle: Lead end-to-end proposal development—from opportunity identification and capability mapping to color-team reviews, final submission, and post-award debriefs.
- Write & Review Technical Content: Author core proposal sections, white papers, RFIs, and RFPs, synthesizing technical input from engineering teams into compliant, compelling narratives under tight timelines.
- Develop Scalable Proposal Infrastructure: Own and curate Star Catcher’s central proposal library, capturing past performance, win themes, baseline graphics, and boilerplate content for rapid turnarounds.
- Help Architect Winning Strategies: Collaborate with executive and technical leadership to translate complex space architecture and energy capabilities into sharp win themes, discriminators, and value propositions.
- Build Strategic Proposal Pricing Models: Partner to develop/implement pricing strategies, cost structures, and commercial model terms for government acquisitions and commercial deals.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Coordinate across engineering, legal, finance, supply chain, and program management to align on deal terms, risk mitigation, and regulatory/export compliance (ITAR/EAR).
Required Qualifications
- 3-6+ years of progressive experience in proposal management, capture execution, business development, and/or technical work within aerospace, defense, or high-tech hardware.
- Exceptional Technical Writing: Proven ability to turn complex technical and operational concepts into clear, compliant, high-velocity proposals on short deadlines.
- Deep Government Acquisition Experience: Deep hands-on experience navigating U.S. Government acquisition processes, including DoW, USSF, NASA, or IC contracting vehicles.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Demonstrated ability to drive consensus across engineering, operations, and executive leadership to hit strict submission deadlines.
- U.S. Person Status: Required due to access to export-controlled technical data (ITAR/EAR).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing win-themes for space systems, airborne payload platforms, orbital infrastructure, or advanced R&D initiatives.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment on quick-turnaround projects and proposals to meet customer needs.
- Strong working knowledge of the FAR/DFARS, OTAs (Other Transaction Authorities), SBIR/STTR programs, and commercial space contracting mechanisms.
- Experience introducing structured capture frameworks to early-stage, fast-scaling aerospace companies.
