Position: Senior Maintenance Team Lead

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Job Type: On-site (100%)

Reports to: Supervisor / FM

Department: North American Operations

Position Purpose: Coordinate, assign, and oversee both periodic and reactive maintenance on production equipment and ground support equipment. This role balances advanced hands-on technical support with team leadership, resource scheduling, and accountability for site safety metrics.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
  • Works safely at all times.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coordinate daily shift assignments for a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Manage scheduling, hours, and task allocation to optimize resource utilization and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Lead employee training and assist management with performance evaluations, coaching, and onboarding of new hires.
  • Conduct daily shop huddles, pre-shift meetings, and safety briefings. Safety, Compliance, & 5S Culture
  • Enforce the Leadec "Safety It's Your Life" process to guarantee all employees engage in safe work practices.
  • Lead area risk assessments and drive corrective/preventive actions to eliminate health and safety risks.
  • Investigate safety incidents and implement root-cause corrective measures alongside the Supervisor.
  • Enforce 5S standards and maintain a clean, orderly work environment across the production floor. Operations & Technical Oversight
  • Manage work orders using the Maximo CMMS platform, prioritizing critical automated equipment to minimize production downtime.
  • Oversee outside contract work, including soliciting bids and monitoring contractors for safety and quality compliance.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting guidance and act as high-level escalation support for complex failures in:
  • PLC logic controllers (advanced troubleshooting)
  • Automated robotic assembly and AC/DC drive systems
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, and specialized HVAC infrastructure systems
  • Audit and review PM tasks, ensuring that standardized maintenance practices meet or exceed strict aviation quality standards.
  • Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
  • All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

  • Technical Drafting: High comfort reading electrical schematics, ladder logic, and pneumatic layouts, with the ability to verify "as-built" blueprint adjustments.
  • Computer Literacy: Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized experience with Maximo or equivalent CMMS software.

 

Position Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Technical degree or Journeyman certification strongly preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment, with at least 2+ years in a designated leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Certifications: EPA/HVAC and/or Diesel Certification preferred.

  • Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.
  • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
  • Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
