Overview

The Project Manager works with the Physician Executive to lead important projects that support the organization's goals. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of the medical group, this role manages projects from planning through completion, develops business plans and financial projections, supports the CEO and governance activities, and improves operational processes. Success in this role requires strong project management skills, healthcare business knowledge, analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively with physicians, executives, and cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities

Executive Support

  • Support the Physician Executive and Executive Leadership with strategic priorities and key initiatives.
  • Coordinate executive meetings, leadership committees, and workgroups.
  • Prepare agendas, presentations, briefing materials, and follow-up action items.
  • Track projects, milestones, and executive dashboards.
  • Help coordinate communication and priorities across departments.

Project Management

  • Manage multiple projects from planning through completion.
  • Create project plans, timelines, and communication plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to keep projects on track.
  • Monitor progress, provide leadership updates, and address project risks.

Business Planning & Financial Support

  • Develop business cases and financial analyses for new programs and initiatives.
  • Conduct operational, financial, and market research to support decision-making.
  • Partner with finance, operations, and clinical leaders on strategic planning and investment opportunities.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, quality, and patient experience.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma principles.
  • Facilitate process mapping and performance improvement efforts.
  • Develop metrics and dashboards to track results.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with physician leaders, executives, and operational teams.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to achieve strategic goals.
  • Communicate project progress, recommendations, and outcomes to leadership.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to turn data into meaningful recommendations.
  • Experience creating executive dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, formulas (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), and data analysis.
  • Experience using Microsoft Power BI to create dashboards and reports.
  • Ability to analyze data and present findings clearly to leadership.
  • Experience with business planning, financial analysis, and ROI evaluations.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methods.
  • Strong presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Qualifications

Ā 

Experience in healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or operational performance. - preferred

Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools.- preferred

Knowledge of healthcare financial reporting, quality metrics, and performance improvement. - preferred

Familiarity with Epic EHR reporting and healthcare data systems is a plus. - preferredĀ

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - required
