RQ Construction is a national Design-Build contractor specializing in commercial, federal, and Department of Defense (DoD) construction. For nearly 30 years, we've delivered complex, fast-track projects across the U.S. with a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

We're growing in the Southern Georgia/Jacksonville, FL market and are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Superintendent to support regional projects in the area.

What You'll Do

As the Sheet Metal Superintendent, you'll lead field operations for all sheet metal work, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise sheet metal crews and subcontractors on commercial and federal construction projects.
  • Coordinate with plumbing, pipefitting, insulation, welding, and other mechanical trades.
  • Ensure work complies with project specifications, safety requirements, building codes, and military standards.
  • Partner with the Project Superintendent to maintain schedules and resolve field issues.
  • Promote a safety-first culture while delivering high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a Sheet Metal Superintendent or Foreman on commercial, industrial, institutional, or federal construction projects.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
  • Government, military, or DoD construction experience preferred.
  • Design-Build experience is a plus.
  • OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid certifications required (training available).
  • EM-385 and/or STS certification preferred (training available).
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
