IT Program Manager Sr
The IT Program Manager Sr leads execution efforts across a collection of projects/programs through cross functional teams across Bank and partners. Leads key strategic programs and influences as a cross-functional orchestrator. Working independently, this role requires demonstrated competency in quickly assessing situations, developing strong partnerships and the ability to communicate complex issues succinctly.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ability to work cross-functionally (internal and external teams) to initiate, plan, execute, anticipate challenges, and develop solutions to correct and effectively deliver program/project on time and within budget.
- Facilitates cross-team planning and identifies interdepencies to ensure projects within the designated program align to business strategy and goals.
- Applies knowledge of key areas of intersection between business, operations, technology, and risk/legal functions to identify and develop network with constituencies that includes our business including engaging constructively with stakeholders.
- Motivates and manages a team of cross-functional performers from different IT project and business partners while fostering a fast-paced and flexible team culture.
- Helps establish governance controls structure where decision-making is weighted toward empowered teams.
- Prepares and presents executive level presentations, dashboards, and status reports.
- Mitigates and resolves conflicts while acting as the escalation point for project teams within the program.
- Coaches, reviews, and sometimes delegates work to other project managers or other lower level professionals.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in enterprise program management or project management
- Previous experience supporting large-scale infrastructure initiatives
- Background supporting one or more of the following: AWS/Azure, Cohesity, Palo Alto, Cisco, Avaya products
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience driving execution through infrastructure execution leads (compute, network, cloud, storage, platform), ensuring operational commitments are delivered on time and with quality.
- Strong experience managing multiple concurrent operational workstreams, coordinating dependencies, sequencing activities, and tracking delivery across cross‑functional infrastructure and application teams.
- Expertise in planning, organizing, and coordinating planned infrastructure activities including patching, maintenance, upgrades, DR testing, and remediation efforts.
- Experience managing infrastructure vendors and managed service providers.
- Ability to translate technical capacity risks into business impact and investment needs.
- Ability to translate complex infrastructure activity into clear, concise execution status updates for leadership, stakeholders, and governance forums.
- Experience driving automation and standardization in infrastructure operations.
