Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Pediatric Surgical Services Team at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This is a full-time day shift position. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and participate in the required call rotation.
As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting pediatric surgeons and the operating room team by maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring safe, efficient surgical procedures for infants, children, and adolescents.
As a Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities include:
Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures
Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly
Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments
Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
Participate in the required call rotation
Experience Requirements:
Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience
Education & Credential Requirements:
Associate's degree required or equivalent experience in lieu of education
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required
