Job Description:


Review Quality Assurance and Sanitation functions for pre-and post-operations, inspect cleaning/sanitation of equipment, verify line set-up, performing environmental swab and sample collecting, verify ingredient usage through recipe check offs, and proper documentation. Assisting Dayshift QA in set-up, inspection, and changeover when shift ends.

  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

1. Conduct sanitation inspections for pre-and post-operations according to the departmental Quality System.

2. Perform environmental swabbing and sampling collection.  

3. Keep all necessary standards and specification documents complete and organized.

4. Notify sanitation supervisor of any discrepancies during the inspection process.

5. Monitor and enforce company policies (food safety, GMP’s, etc.) procedures and regulations as indicated in the departmental Quality System.

6. Monitor and record all verification procedures.

7. Perform other duties as assigned by quality supervisor.

8. Prevent non-conformances by tagging and notifying relevant personnel.

9. Perform, and document monthly facility inspections. Communicate all findings to the Quality Supervisor.

10. Verify ingredient usages at morning start-up via recipe check offs. 

11. Maintain records and files for third-party, federal, and state inspections.



Requirements

  

Education and/or Experience: High school graduate. Good math skills required. Experience in fast paced work environment. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Work/Skill Requirements: Willing to train. Food/beverage industry experience a plus. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical skills. Ability to read, write, and keep records. Good computer skills including literacy with Excel and Word. cGMP and/or HACCP training or experience in the food processing industry a plus. Must be self-motivated, and disciplined throughout.
