About The Position

 Wellhart is seeking a licensed Emergency Medicine Physician for a 36-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in Florida. Starting 06/09/2025, this role requires expertise in emergency medicine to provide 40 hours of physician coverage per week. The shift times will vary and are to be determined. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a wide range of emergency medical situations and be prepared to handle diverse patient needs in a fast-paced hospital environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic emergency department setting, with potential for extension beyond the initial 36 days.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages and conditions

• Perform rapid assessment and triage of patients

• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries

• Manage critical care patients

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Perform emergency procedures as needed

• Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals

• Coordinate patient admissions or transfers when necessary

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Ensure adherence to emergency department protocols and best practices

• Adapt to varying patient volumes and acuity levels

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
