Job Title: Janitor Department: Millwrights

Reports to: Facilities Manager

Job Summary:

The Janitorial Staff will clean and maintain all areas of the company’s facilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in all areas of the facility as assigned.
Ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are organized and stocked.
Sweeps, vacuums, waxes, and mops the floors.
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms.
Empties trash and recycling.
Washes windows, inside and outside.
Makes sure the facility is clean and meets all safety requirements.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
Detail-oriented and thorough.
Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine cleaning and maintenance.
Ability to keep the facility clean and orderly.
Ability to interact with various employees and visitors while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.
Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment.
Ability to work independently.
Understanding of health and safety regulations.
Ability to keep an organized record of cleaning supply inventory.
Problem-solving skills.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous janitorial experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing.

Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
