Overview

The Office Coordinator and Coder maintains a good attitude, strong, dependable work ethic, and uses excellent communication and organizational skills to oversee office/clinic system, ensuring efficient, effective, and patient-sensitive operations.

Shift: 32 hours/week

Schedule: Days

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains/updates physician files.
  • Maintains secretarial/organizational skills at high level.
  • Maintains monthly patients/procedure information file for data collections/reporting and dissemination of same to appropriate personnel according to guidelines.
  • Responsible for coding of all surgeries/visits under physician directions
  • Maintains high level of communication skills as well as computer/word processing skills.


Education and Experience

Associate degree/medical secretary or 2 years of coding experience
Two years physician office experience or two to three years medical related office/supervisor experience


Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpretive and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
High level of attention to detail

Special Physical Demands

Manual dexterity to operate office equipment. This position requires the employee to frequently sit, handle, finger, feel, reach, talk, and hear. This position requires the employee to occasionally stand, walk, stop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance. This job requires the employee to exert up to 25 lbs of force occasionally. The position frequently requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus as well as occasional distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
