Tree Trimmer Trainee (HL)

The Tree Trimmer Trainee (HL) will cut trees for new service, and maintain the power line right-of-ways in the Amicalola EMC Service area. Duties will include operating a chain saw, chipping and moving brush, trimming and cutting trees near energized lines under supervision, and other duties as required. This job may be based at the Jasper Headquarters or Ellijay Office location.

Applicant must be able to maintain a valid Class A CDL driver's license.

Highschool Diploma/ Equivalent required.

This position will require:

• Prolonged periods of driving, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, climbing and lifting
• Ability to physically operate a chainsaw, wood chipper, and other equipment
• Ability to frequently lift or maneuver heavy objects 50-75 lbs
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
