Job DetailsJob Location: Pipe Yard (96) - Jasper, TX 75951 Summary The Distribution Center positions are responsible for ensuring that material is readily available to send to branches. These positions must accurately and safely receive and store materials, maintain good housekeeping, as well as picking and packing orders for pickup and delivery to branches, ensuring Coburn’s exceptional standard of customer service. DC workers must also follow all company policies, procedures and Distribution Center Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Focus Area: Performance Measure: Receiving All physical items shipped from the manufacturer are matched with the invoice and product is properly and timely received in the CCS & WMS. Focus Area: Performance Measure: Save & Store Every item is in the proper place (bin/ shelf) where it can be efficiently gathered for shipping, with no injuries, near misses or damaged product.   Focus Area: Performance Measure: Pulling, Pack & Ship Correct material is pulled and confirmed before the deadline in a safe manner and staged in the appropriate area with no injuries, near misses or damaged product. Focus Area: Performance Measure: Transport The correct material is prepared for delivery with the proper documentation in a manner that is timely, free of injuries, near misses & damage to the product. Focus Area: Performance Measure: Personal Knowledge Development The Distribution Center Worker develops and maintains their knowledge to ensure competency and growth in their position. Qualifications Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent preferred OR 2 years of experience in related industry Successful passing of the company-issued aptitude test Must possess basic computer skills and the ability to read a map and/or follow written directions. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 75 lbs.; must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead. Occasionally drives/operates forklifts; works with tools, and equipment. Must be able to be lifted to heights up to 25 feet. Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention. Construction & Warehouse environment with variable but moderately high noise levels. Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions. A consistent presence at work is required. Age & Licensing Requirements In order to operate a forklift, the operator must be a minimum age of 18 years old and successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Operator Certification.
