Founded in 1982, Malone's CNC Machining, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of military aircraft parts and assemblies. Our expertise in CNC machining has expanded into a wide range of aircraft components and manufacturing processes, allowing us to maintain the highest volume of active government contracts in the state of Oklahoma.

Job Description:
The Quality Inspector will perform hands-on mylar layout and/or dimensional inspections of fabricated parts and components in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Position requires the inspection of all incoming materials as well as first article, in-process and final inspections and the completion of required documentation. Candidates must be proficient in the use of height gages, micrometers, calipers, comparators, and other standard quality tools used in manufacturing of aircraft components. Must demonstrate the ability to understand aircraft industry mylars, drawings, terminology, and process sheets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and other internal documents.
- Inspect all incoming materials to verify conformance to the requirements of all applicable documents.
- Perform dimensional inspection of manufactured components and assemblies which includes first part buy-off and final lot inspection per inspection documentation or traveler.
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications and conducting visual and technical measurements.
- Complete AS9102 documents and other required documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to use inspection equipment such as gages/tooling.
- Responsible for the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
- Report inspection results per completion and initiate and handle non-conformances for production components as well as incoming materials from suppliers.
- Responsible for maintenance of inspection records/documents.
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Skills & Experience:
- Previous quality inspection work in machine shop environment/manufacturing required.
- Understanding and ability to define and communicate (both verbally & written) non-conformances to leadership, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications for machined parts from sheet metal and other manufacturing components and materials.
- Previous experience using precision measuring equipment and tools (calipers, height gage, indicators, optical devices, micrometers, CMM, Faro Arm, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Mathematical skills such as the ability to calculate figures and amounts.​ It also requires the ability to apply and perform basic concepts of algebra, geometry, and trig.
- Must be a self-starter and require minimal supervision.
- Must work well within a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills when working with both internal and external customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical demands
- Position requires the use of hands and arms with repetitive motion and reach.
- Position requires manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
- Must be able to perform work while standing, sitting and/or walking.
- Position requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Position requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Position may require occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 30-75 pounds (50-75 lbs. would have partner assistance)
- Position requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
Work Environment
The plant is a machining environment; therefore, you may be required to wear respiratory protection due to airborne particles, chemicals & solvents depending on position.
