Hours: Part Time (12 Hours Weekly) Variable Shift
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Extern assists patients with activities of daily living; provides a safe environment for patients by providing 1:1 observation and care; and, assists staff and patients with select procedures and health interventions, all in a family centered environment. The Extern can also assist in data collection activities (i.e. hand hygiene survalliance, personal protective equipment usage, etc).

Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in an NLN approved nursing program.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association wirthin 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training - Current enrollment in an NLN approved Bachelor of Science nursing program; has successfully completed, at a minimum, the 1st semester of clinicals.
- Previous employment in a health care setting.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
