Overview & Responsibilities
Purpose of the Job:
Provide back-end support of the Customer Strategy Department globally.
Coordinate the activities of ISR’s, Engineers, Buyers, Field Service, and customers relative to developing project proposals.
Background and Experience:
B.S. degree in Business or Project Management. Equivalent work experience is also considered.
Must be advanced in Microsoft Excel (performing V-Lookups, creating Macros, etc.) and other MS Office utilities such as Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Access.
Experience could be in any of the following industries, Refinery, Chemical Process, Power Generation, etc. Â
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, analytical skills, and able to manage multiple projects under strict timelines.  Must be experienced in maintaining project schedules, organizational skills, and time management. Ability to influence other departments and disciplines to work together and meet the needs of the customer.
Strong understanding of global supply chain & procurement processes and standards.Â
Understands company cost structure and how to develop full and accurate cost totals
Good working knowledge of the Elliott product line.
Good working knowledge of the Elliott manufacturing requirements, internal and external.
Ability to use/learn Image manipulation software (Photoshop, Paint.NET) and Elliott preferred, CAD-related packages (AutoCAD, Creo Parametric, Creo View), and Windchill
Nature of the Job:
This is a position that is responsible for supporting the back-end needs of the Customer Strategy Department globally. Services offered include Parts Kits, Parts Audits, and Customer Inventory Management. Â
Occasional opportunity to travel to customer sites to support Regional Application Engineers with site audit activities.
Contact with Others
Internal contact with (1) intradepartmental: Inside Sales, Costing, Service Parts Engineering, etc. (2) Inter-departmental: Outside Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Ebara Elliott Turbomachinery Corp (EETC), etc.
External contact: Customers, Purchasing, Suppliers, Subcontractors, Associate Plants, Consultants, Engineering Contractors.
Supervision
This position plans, coordinates, and self-administers activities on assigned workload.
Responsible for technical supervision, motivation, guidance, training, and development of personnel as may be assigned by supervision.
Specific Job Responsibilities
Work with engineering to maintain customer and unit specific Normal Maintenance Parts Lists (NMPL).
Work with Regional Application Engineers to prioritize opportunities and NMPL workload based on upcoming customer turnaround schedules.
Serve as liaison between Application Engineers and ISR’s to coordinate prompt turnaround of proposals.
Main Point of Contact (POC) for Foam Vendor communication and maintains relationship with vendors; including Pelican Case inventory stock counts, facilitating Pelican case box repairs on Replenishment orders, correcting any Quality issues with new cases, case stenciling and maintaining visibility on open Project designs both pre and post award and ensures on-time delivery and quality of the product being delivered to customers.
Assists in the design of Elliott Parts Kits layouts and is responsible for proper packaging of the parts which go into the kit boxes for customer outages.
Reviews any and all assembly drawing updates of the Elliott equipment that is being kitted, including and not limited to weights, dimensions and determining storage orientation.  Â
Actively seek to minimize RFQ to proposal submission cycle time.
Responsible for managing parts kit QR Codes. Creation, maintenance, and assurance that codes are affixed to the kit boxes as required.
This job requires the ability to work unsupervised, meet strict deadlines, and must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
Drives for Problem Resolution on any issues pertaining to parts kits and parts audit orders
Maintain and revise planning charts for individual projects as necessary.
Manage customer issued documentation, including issuance of proposed layouts and drawings.
Aide project managers in coordinating project schedules when requested.Â
Actively participates in cost, quality, and lead time improvement processes.
Prepares reports as required by Management
Uses good value concepts and works with all departments to obtain maximum benefits.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
Research for technical knowledge of commodities assigned by reading and shop/supplier visits.
Reviews and manages documentation packages creation as well as creation of Matrixes and Engineering Sketches
Works in accordance with plant rules.
Works in a safe manner.
