Job DetailsJob Location: Jefferson City, MO 65101Job Title: Family Development Trainer  Travel Requirements: Moderate  Status: Full Time  Supervisor: Family Development Supervisor  Location:   Direct Reports: 0  About CMFCAA  The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is a not-for-profit agency that educates, supports, and advocates for foster, adoptive, & kinship children, youth, & families in central Missouri by offering services & partnering with community & governmental agencies to develop healthy & self-sufficient individuals & families.  Currently, we are assisting over 640 foster families, over 1400 foster children, over 400 adopted children in our service area. Our goal is to be a support to the families, children and youth in this area, and we work tirelessly to provide much needed services to them.    Position Summary  The Family Development Program has three major components: intake, assessing, and training. We offer support and services to families interested in fostering/adopting, and to foster, adoptive, and kinship families. All team members will be trained in each category, however hired with a specific focus in training or assessing. The purpose of this role is to support, guide, educate, and prepare individuals that are interested in becoming foster, adoptive, kinship, and/or respite caregivers.   As a trainer, the employee will be competent in teaching a variety of curriculums that are required and/or recommended by the Children’s Division and partnering agencies. The training is provided, but further the comprehension and application of the material is thoroughly discussed and evaluated.  Essential Functions/Job Expectations  Teach a variety of curriculums required and recommended by the Children’s Division and partnering agencies.  Ensure comprehensive understanding and application of training materials through interactive sessions and assessments.  Facilitate state-required educational trainings for families seeking licensure for foster/adopt or kinship care.  Develop new and engaging activities tailored to enhance training effectiveness.  Collaborate with licensing agencies to maintain compliance with state regulations and educational standards.  Provide ongoing support and guidance to prospective caregivers throughout the licensure process.  Maintain accurate documentation of training sessions and participant progress.    Core Competencies  Time Management  Customer focus  Teamwork and cooperation  Resourcefulness  Flexibility  Commitment  Decision making    Qualifications/Credentials  Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, English, Journalism, Communications or related field   Excellent oral and written communication skills   Proficient results on typing test (link will be provided)   Case management, 1 year (preferred)   Knowledge of foster care system (preferred)   Strong public speaking experience   Ability to obtain required training certificates   Strong organizational and documentation skills   Punctuality and flexibility in a fast-paced environment   Ability to promote teamwork   Valid Driver’s License Required  Reliable transportation Required  Background checks Required  Salary Salary starts at $44,557.80 commensurate with education and experience Benefits  Health, Dental, and Vision Premiums covered 100% for employee, 10% covered for dependents  Aflac   25K employer paid Life Insurance plan, as an elective, additional coverage for dependents, spouse/partners    3% Match of a 401k   15 Paid holidays, plus one floating holiday   8 hours Annual Leave a month   8 hours Sick Leave a month   Mileage reimbursement at federal rate     Usage of Company Vehicle   $250 Wellness Benefit   Casual Dress  Employee Assistance Program   Qualifications
