Job DetailsJob Location: Capital Sand Company - MO - Jefferson City, MO 65101Position Type: Full TimeCapital Sand is looking for a Maintenance/Mechanic Technician. This position would encompass welding/fabrication, mechanical work, and preventative/routine maintenance for our Jefferson City, MO location. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manufactures, repairs, modifies, rebuilds, and assembles various components related to our machinery and equipment Read and interpret welding blueprints, including all standard welding symbols Maneuver fabrication machines, such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears and flame cutters to cut, bend, grind and adjust materials Uses required measuring instruments and gauges to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirements Operates all machinery and equipment according to safety requirements Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of heavy/dirt equipment Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment Perform safety checks on heavy equipment Estimate time and material costs on equipment repairs and request new parts Maintain a clean and safe workstation in compliance with company and OSHA standards Must maintain equipment and machinery Other duties as assigned QualificationsREQUIREMENTS General knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment Maintenance experience Welding experience Mechanical experience Lift/move up to 50 lbs. Work outdoors in all weather conditions Work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed Stand for extended periods of time Reliable transportation Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check This is a full-time, benefits eligible position.
