Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking a Product Specialist II in our Manufacturing division to deliver accurate, timely, and competitive quotations that support sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.  

The Product Specialist II will achieve sales and gross profit targets, align pricing and quotation strategies with financial objectives, and drive continuous improvement across people, processes, and technology. The Product Specialist II will work with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Product Management to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, improve efficiency, and execute initiatives that support long-term business growth and global objectives.

Details: 

  • Type of Employment: Full-time – Exempt 
  • Location: Jefferson Hills, PA 
  • Division/Department: Manufacturing/Machine Shop 
  • Reports to: Business Segment Manager – Manufacturing 
  • Hybrid: Onsite 4 days, remote 1 day 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain expertise in Manufacturing Division products, applications, product markets, competitive global vacuum manufacturers, and market pricing 
  • Ensure the delivery of quality products and services 
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training 
  • Drive continual improvement to support business objectives 
  • Determine root causes and implement change 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate, up-to-date process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and onboarding materials 
  • Ensure compliance with Company workplace policies and procedures, including human resource policies and safety requirements 
  • Support the creation and achievement of divisional and corporate goals and objectives 
  • Train and support the sales force to effectively sell Manufacturing Division products and services 
  • Ensure timely and accurate quotations to customers 
  • Support the timely resolution of Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and implementation of long-term corrective actions (LTCAs) 
  • Develop new products, applications, and market opportunities while supporting marketing initiatives, including website and social media content 
  • Ensure a safe work environment 
  • Less than 20% travel domestically
  • Maintain an understanding of ITAR and Export Control policies and procedures 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: 

Required 

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales, Product Management, or a related commercial role
  • 3+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the vacuum technology industry
  • Highly self-motivated, persistent, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and strong self-discipline 
  • Excellent professional communication and organizational skills 
  • Proficient in PC-based software applications 
  • Experience with CAD software 
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) 

Preferred 

  • Hands-on experience as a machinist and welder 
  • Bachelor's degree in business, a manufacturing-related field, or equivalent work experience 
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills
