Assistant Manager – Shift Operations (Hands-On Role)

We’re hiring a strong, dependable leader to help run shifts at The Dough Shed Pizzeria.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on running the shift—not a back-office management position.

If you’re someone who can keep things moving, stay organized, and support a team in a fast-paced environment, this is a great fit.

What You’ll Do

  •  Lead shifts and keep operations running smoothly 
  •  Direct team members and maintain strong flow during busy periods 
  •  Handle customer questions and resolve issues professionally 
  •  Jump in wherever needed (kitchen, front, prep) 
  •  Keep the restaurant clean, stocked, and organized 
  •  Communicate directly with managers and carry out direction during each shift 
You are the go-to leader on shift, working closely with management

What This Role Is (and Isn’t)

This is a leadership role focused on operations.

You will NOT be responsible for:

  •  Food ordering 
  •  Staffing 
  •  Scheduling 
Your focus is simple: run a smooth, efficient shift and lead the team well while working under the direction of management

What We’re Looking For

  •  Previous restaurant experience (leadership preferred) 
  •  Reliable, steady, and able to stay calm under pressure 
  •  Strong communication and problem-solving skills 
  •  Willing to lead by example and stay involved 
Not a Fit If You

  •  Prefer to stand back instead of staying hands-on 
  •  Struggle in fast-paced environments 
  •  Need constant direction
