Job Description

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Business Intelligence Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

  • Translate high level solutions into high quality technical artefacts.

  • Support the business in delivering its strategic objectives within the constraints of a regulatory environment.

  • Develop Reports and Dashboards for an enterprise-class distributed, micro-service & cloud-based application.

  • Develop Reports and Dashboards in Business Objects, Qlik View, Qlik Sense and print in line with business requirements.

  • Actively organize or participate in meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements and plan solutions.

  • Contribute to the definition of data development standards, design patterns and techniques.

  • Comply with the adoption of Scaled Agile techniques and maintain high-quality documentation.

  • Produce detailed technical specifications and deliver to committed timescales.

  • Ensure quality and agility are present through adoption of continuous integration, test, behavioral driven testing and automated deployment.

  • Perform design and code reviews for the development team.

  • May telecommute pursuant to company policies. [Hybrid role]

Minimum Salary: $103,210 per year

Maximum Salary: $135,000 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
