Hours: 1st Shift, Mon. - Fri. as needed  | No Supervisory Responsibilities | No Travel | Pay commensurate with experience


Position Summary: To operate nuclear medicine equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologist.     


Minimum Qualifications:


Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred.

 

License/Certifications:

  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist at Nuclear Medicine level or successful completion on CNMT Boards.
  • Current BLS Certification. 


Essential Functions:



  1. Properly position patient into scanner and utilizes Radiologist approved required protocol for the exam. 
  2. Administers correct dosages of oral and IV contrast as required for each exam as required for optimal exam quality. 
  3. Keeps accurate log of required patient exam information. 
  4. Properly acquires images that comply with departmental standards of high quality. 
  5. Understands how to use Meditech system and completes all requirements to assure exams are correctly ordered, and moved to the “Taken” Status. 
  6. Submits all required sequences per exam protocol and sends completed study to the radiologist. 
  7. Scans and documents all medications and allergies in Meditech as required by policy. 
  8. Knowledge of PACS system and how to operate, make appropriate changes prior to sending to the Radiologist, and make CDs. 
  9. Goals from previous performance evaluation were met. 


Must be willing to receive all required vaccinations (i.e., flu shot, etc.). All new employees working must be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment (unless the new hire has requested and received an exemption). Candidates for employment will be notified of this policy requirement prior to the start of employment. After receiving an offer of employment, new employees must provide proof of vaccination or request and receive an exemption before beginning work.
