Position Overview

The MRI Technologist performs high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a safe and positive patient experience.

Position Details

  • Employment Type: PRN (as needed)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Department: Imaging
  • Travel: None required
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None
  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician orders
  • Ensure accurate patient positioning and proper selection of imaging parameters
  • Guide patients through procedures with clear communication and compassionate care
  • Monitor patient safety throughout imaging, including screening for MRI contraindications
  • Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal imaging outcomes
  • Maintain imaging equipment and ensure quality control standards are met
  • Manage workflow efficiently to support timely patient care and diagnosis
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and hospital standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification – required
  • Certification: Current CPR certification – required
  • Experience: Minimum of six (6) months MRI clinical experience preferred

Employment Requirements

  • Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
