Job Description: EHS Technician

Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Technician

Department: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)

Reports To: EHS Manager

Position Summary

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Technician supports the implementation and maintenance of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in solar panels, photovoltaic (PV), semiconductor, or other cleanroom manufacturing facilities and possess a strong understanding of hazardous chemicals, safety regulations, and environmental compliance. This role assists in creating a safe work environment by conducting inspections, investigating incidents, maintaining records, delivering training, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

路 Support daily EHS operations and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations.

路 Monitor hazardous chemical storage, handling, transportation, and disposal, including acids, solvents, gases, and specialty chemicals used in solar panel manufacturing.

路 Perform air quality, noise, wastewater, and environmental monitoring activities.

路 Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), chemical inventories, and regulatory documentation.

路 Coordinate hazardous waste management activities in accordance with environmental regulations.

路 Assist in implementing and maintaining safety management system, EHS programs and procedures.

路 Collaborate with facility, operations and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement.

路 Assist in ergonomic evaluation, conduct routine workplace safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.

路 Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation.

路 Support emergency response activities, spill response, and evacuation drills.

路 Coordinate and deliver employee safety orientations and ongoing training programs.

路 Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and compliance files.

路 Support emergency preparedness activities, including evacuation drills and emergency response planning.

路 Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

路 Associate's or Bachelor degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Process Engineering or a related field.

路 Working knowledge of OSHA, experience with chemical safety programs and hazardous materials management.

路 Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, Hot Work, Machine Guarding, and Electrical Safety programs.

路 Experience conducting incident investigations and safety audits.

路 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

路 Preferred Qualifications

路 Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) certification, or Certified

Safety Professional (CSP),

路 HAZWOPER (24-hour or 40-hour) certification.

路 Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

路 Knowledge of industrial hygiene monitoring and cleanroom protocols.

路 Experience with hazardous gases, vacuum systems, and chemical distribution systems used in semiconductors or Solar panel (photovoltaic) manufacturing.

Compensation and Benefits:
