Essential Duties:/Responsibilities
- Aid in maintaining inventory, ensuring minimal discrepancies or losses.
- Helps stock WIC food items accordingly.
- Receives WIC participants’ orders and packs order for distribution.
- Assists in keeping Direct Distribution/warehouse area clean and organized.
- Reports to WIC Inventory/Stock Clerk, WIC Program Specialist or other WIC management to alert of any issues with shipment orders, WIC food and WIC participants.
- Attends meetings and trainings, which involve WIC program issues.
- Supports WIC Program with promotion activities on Nutrition Education, Breastfeeding and Recruitment for participation.
Qualifications:
- Education: HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience/Basic Knowledge: Must have knowledge in Inventory systems with 1-year related experience in warehouse setting. Must have experience with computer programs and willingness to learn the WIC Programs inventory software. Must have experience in Customer Service.
- Required Licenses/Certifications: Prefer a valid driver’s license.
- Physical Requirements: Must have manual dexterity to enter and retrieve data from a computer. Ability to sit and stand for long periods. Bends and stoops regularly. Lift or move up to 75 pounds.
- Preferences: San Felipe Preference and Veteran’s Preference.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Possess strong organization skills.
- Maintain strength required to move heavy equipment and products weighing up to 75 lbs.Â
- Exhibit strong communication skills, essential for working with other employees and WIC participants.
- Must be capable of managing time effectively and multi-tasking as necessary.
- Demonstrate familiarity with all warehouse safety precautions and is able to observe at all times.
- Works well with others.
