Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Fitters for projects located in or around Jennings, LA This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $28-$33/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

Fit structural steel components including beams, columns, and plate in a fabrication shop environment
Read and interpret blueprints
Lay out and measure materials accurately
Fit components to required tolerances
Perform tack welding as needed prior to final weld-out
Align structural members and prepare materials for fabrication
Check dimensions and verify proper fit-up
Coordinate with welders to ensure proper joint configuration and structural integrity
Operate FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, and SAW welding processes
Use flame-cutting equipment and metal-forming tools including brakes, shears, and presses

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of structural fitting experience strongly preferred
Must be able to perform tack welding
Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a team environment
