The Financial Analytics Manager is responsible for the quarterly execution of the vendor models. This includes the preparation of CECL loan data across each of the relevant portfolios, coordination with data, credit, business line, and operations teams on any issues, and presenting the results to the CECL Committee and external auditors at least quarterly.TheĀ roleĀ plays a key role in bridging business objectives with data-driven insightsĀ at Webster. This positionĀ is responsible for understanding and translating complex business requirements into analytical solutions, leveragingĀ WebsterāsĀ dataĀ systems andĀ tools,Ā designing coding and maintainingĀ data workflows.Ā The role involves overseeing the integration and processing of both structured and unstructured data sourcesĀ to enhance data usability.Ā TheĀ individual needs to collaborate withĀ IT, DataĀ Team,Ā andĀ LoBĀ partners in developingĀ dataĀ workflows,Ā dataĀ analysisĀ andĀ reporting.Ā TheĀ Manager Financial AnalyticsĀ role designs and supports statistical and predictive models that inform strategic decision-making. Primary ResponsibilitiesĀ
Develop expert knowledge and experience with Websterās data systems and tools.Ā
Develop strong relationships with Webster lines of business, Finance,Ā Credit, Data,Ā Risk & IT partnersĀ to ensure consistency and appropriateness of the teamās various processes and impact on FA models.Ā This includes changes to external systems, changes in database content and structure, and changes in applied methodology.Ā
Execute and supportĀ Dual RiskĀ RatingĀ model building, monitoring and model refresh.Ā
Analyze and organize largeĀ structured and unstructuredĀ data to derive actionable insights and support decision-makingĀ processes.Ā
Assist FA team and collaborate internally.Ā Document and communicate changes to data structure, content and logic that has impact on models.Ā Assist in the coding and testing of changes to existing models.Ā
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, business objectivesĀ and implement effectiveĀ solutions.Ā
Work with external data sources, APIs.Ā

Required SkillsĀ & ExperienceĀ
3+Ā years ofĀ industryĀ experienceĀ inĀ Data Analytics,Ā Data Science,Ā DataĀ Engineering,Ā Software DevelopmentĀ or relatedĀ field.Ā
Experience working with complex data structuresĀ within a RDMS (Oracle, SQL).Ā
Proficient in Python/SASĀ Programming Language.Ā
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts and experience with applications.Ā
ExperienceĀ inĀ building, validating and deploying statistical or predictive models.Ā
StrongĀ business knowledge and familiarity withĀ financial data systems and architecture.Ā
Ability to interpret and translate business needs into analytical frameworks.Ā

Experience working with unstructured dataĀ using advanced OCR and NLP techniques.Ā
ExperienceĀ with one or more cloud-based computing platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.Ā Ā
ExperienceĀ in designing efficient and robust data workflowsĀ (e.g.- Apache Airflow).Ā
Experience in integrating automated unit test cases and code scanning tools with CI/CD pipeline (E.g. ā GitLab).Ā
Experience in developing constructive relationships with a wide range of different stakeholders.Ā
Ability to independently gather data from various sources and conduct research.Ā

The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000USD to $130,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
