The Applications Development Senior Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. Responsibilities include managing large on/off shore teams, providing leadership, handling negotiation and vendor management; developing vision for team roles and responsibilities; preparing and presenting regular team/project reviews to senior management and business leaders; driving the design and development of system architecture; monitoring and managing budgeting, planning, policy formation, and contributing to future strategy; ensuring change management with appropriate controls and documentation; managing disaster recovery plans and testing; contributing to best practices and processes; assessing risk and ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. Qualifications include 15+ years of relevant experience in Data Governance, Advanced Data Analytics, Master Data Management, ETL Solutions, large teams and vendor management, risk management, project management, SDLC, data science, enterprise architecture, and data modeling. Technical skills required include Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Spark, Scala, Kafka, Elastic, Couchbase, UNIX, Mainframe, Windows, Java/J2EE. Leadership experience of 8+ years in enterprise infrastructure and software design, deployment, and support using agile and waterfall SDLC. Finance and capital markets knowledge is desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and experience partnering with executive IT and business management. Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
