Job Description:
This job is responsible for defining the engineering approach within an end-to-end technology stack. This job will align to a technical domain but acts as contributor to multiple cross functional teams. Key responsibilities include engaging in development and production environments to identify and improve performance/capacity issues and creating and ensuring system design technology solutions comply with enterprise standards. Job expectations include providing and contributing to improvements in solution design, testing, and delivery practices.
The Enterprise Voice, Video, Meeting Space and Events Engineering Team is responsible for employee collaboration applications and services for Bank of America associates all over the globe. Our meeting spaces, telephony, video conferencing, audio conferencing and webcasting applications are used daily by our 200k+ associates, including senior leaders, company town halls and Line of Business events ranging from small scale sessions to large scale events that are feature rich, white glove, accessible and scalable. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engineering deliverables, product lifecycle, feature enhancements, risk management, problem management and change management for their assigned applications.
Responsibilities:
Own engineering deliverables for the Compunetix Audio Conferencing platform
Manage platform lifecycle activities including upgrades, migrations, technology refreshes, and decommissioning initiatives
Evaluate and implement product enhancements, new capabilities, and service improvements
Drive problem management activities and root cause analysis for complex service issues
Lead risk assessments and remediation activities related to infrastructure, security, compliance, and technology obsolescence
Plan, review, and support production changes following enterprise change management processes
Partner with vendors and internal support organizations to maintain platform stability and service levels
Develop engineering standards, operational procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation
Support high-profile executive meetings, board meetings, and enterprise events requiring white-glove service
Ensure platform performance, resiliency, availability, and capacity are proactively managed
Collaborate with security, infrastructure, networking, voice, and cloud engineering teams on strategic initiatives
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support teams
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience supporting or engineering enterprise collaboration, unified communications, or conferencing platforms
Experience managing enterprise voice, conferencing, or real-time communications solutions
Strong understanding of telephony technologies including SIP, VoIP, PSTN, call routing, and audio conferencing architectures
Experience with platform lifecycle management, including upgrades, migrations, patching, and end-of-life remediation
Experience with incident, problem, risk, and change management processes in large enterprise environments
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for complex production issues
Experience working with Windows Server, Linux-based systems, and virtualized environments
Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, resiliency, and capacity planning concepts
Experience working with vendors and third-party support organizations
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and senior executive stakeholders
Experience with Compunetix Conference Manager platforms or enterprise audio conferencing solutions
Experience with Microsoft Teams, Teams Phone, Zoom, Cisco Collaboration technologies, or Webex platforms.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
Familiarity with executive conferencing, board meeting support, and large-scale event technologies
Experience supporting cloud-based collaboration platforms and SaaS services
Knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, audit, and risk management practices
Experience with automation, scripting, monitoring, and operational tooling
Familiarity with SQL Server, virtualization technologies, and cloud-hosted collaboration solutions
Experience managing technology modernization or migration programs
ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management experience
Experience working in highly regulated industries such as financial services
