The Fleet Sales Manager, at Hudson Toyota, supports the New Car Sales department and manages the interface, bidding, sales, and follow-up of fleet accounts.

Expected pay for this position is $175,000 - $250,000 annually.

Essential Functions

  • Establishes strong working relationships with the OEM's, follows OEM protocols, and effectively represents their brands.
  • Works in conjunction with the OEM's to maximize business opportunities.
  • Works with the OEM to effectively forecast vehicle allocation needs.
  • Oversees fleet vehicle ordering to ensure timely delivery of customer production needs.
  • Stays abreast of the changing fleet environment when it comes to government policy changes that occur with State and local governments, Taxi & Livery Commission, and other commercial accounts.
  • Maintains close relationships with commercial vendors that provide products for fleet customers.
  • Monitors all bid opportunities with state and local governments, as well as private/public companies to secure fleet business.
  • Solicits commercial fleet accounts and ensures quality deliveries of all fleet sales
  • Acts as source for national and local courtesy deliveries (supplying specifications as needed for orders)
  • Provides out-of-stock service for fleet accounts and local leasing companies in conjunction with new-vehicle department manager
  • Provides dealership General Management with monthly vehicle and gross profit forecasts.
  • Ensures timely payment from all accounts following established guidelines.
  • Oversees all personnel in the fleet department providing the appropriate training and management oversite.
  • Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner
  • Exhibits high level of commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc.
  • Understands the federal, state, and local laws that govern retail automobile sales and ensures that new car sales programs are in compliance
  • Maintains reporting systems required by general management and the manufacturer
  • Ensures work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean
  • Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards
  • Follows the Company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
  • Understands and follows all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from supervisors
  • Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
  • Maintains a professional appearance for self and any subordinates in accordance with company policy
  • Attends pertinent training on request
  • Assists with organizing and attends special events held at dealership or in the community
  • Attends company meetings as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Light Work- lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time and/or frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds
This position requires a good deal of walking or standing. 50 percent of the time or greater will stand and move throughout the dealership facility (lot, showroom, service department, offices) for most of the shift
This position may include prolonged periods of sitting with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls
This position requires climb, stoop, and kneel
This position requires the ability to hear and talk
This position requires the ability to have sufficient foot/hand/eye coordination to safely drive a vehicle
Will spend time out-doors, under varying climate conditions, subject to the elements, and may experience extreme heat and extreme cold. Will also spend time indoors in air-conditioned areas

During winter months, will assist in cleaning vehicles from snow, if applicable to the local climate

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Schedule may vary from week to week depending on operational needs. Works evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or the equivalent and two-years related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Valid Driver's License
Driving Record the meets insurance requirements and company policy
Current and active Sales License, in states where applicable
