Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

About the Role: FT Night Shift available; 11pm-7:30am and every other weekend availability needed. 

High Point Residence Jerseyville is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our overnight care team. In this role, you will provide hands-on assistance and compassionate support to residents while promoting their dignity, comfort, safety, and independence.

As a valued member of our nursing team, you will work closely with licensed nurses and fellow caregivers to deliver exceptional resident-centered care and help create a warm, welcoming environment for those we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Provide compassionate, respectful care while promoting resident dignity and independence.
  • Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition to the nursing team.
  • Measure and document vital signs as directed.
  • Assist with repositioning, transfers, and ambulation using proper safety techniques.
  • Support residents with meal service, hydration, and other daily needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident care.
  • Keep resident rooms and common areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Respond promptly to resident call lights and emergency situations.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
  • Follow all infection prevention, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in assisted living, supportive living, long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare.
  • Experience providing care for older adults.
  • CPR certification (preferred).
