Overview

MTF Biologics processes tissue grafts from human donors that are used in a growing array of clinical applications – positively affecting lives across the globe. Optimizes and validates processing equipment and tools to achieve the effectiveness and safety of current manufacturing processes. Works closely with the Sr Equipment Engineer and Process Engineers to improve existing processes and support R&D and PE in developing new ones. Develop and generate documentation for cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of equipment following Current Good Manufacturing Processes and assist Process Engineers with troubleshooting. The Equipment Engineer is self-organized and can make independent decisions.

 

Monday thorugh Friday 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Design Services to generate red lines and new or revised assembly or part drawings.
  • Interact with outside vendors to ensure on-time delivery of custom tools and equipment.
  • Modify equipment to improve safety and product quality and/or reduce costs.
  • Perform equipment capacity analyses for budgetary and process scale-up activities.
  • Work with Process Engineers and other departments/teams to develop adequate tools to ensure efficient processing methods.
  • Install, validate, and troubleshoot processing equipment.
  • Maintain, revise, and generate the appropriate equipment documentation such as change controls and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure equipment compliance with internal and external regulations and protocols.
  • Assist Sr Equipment Engineer, Process Engineers, and Engineering Services team in troubleshooting equipment.
  • Support Process Engineers perform risk assessments of the equipment currently in use. This can include product safety, employee safety, and environmental impact.
  • Evaluate equipment performance periodically to ensure both efficiency and high quality.
  • Develop forms and instructions for operation, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and calibration of processing equipment.
  • Analyze and plan space requirements and workflow, design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Compile and write training materials; develop and conduct training sessions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by managment.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 Years of tool and equipment design, optimization, validation, and maintenance.
  • Experienced in CAD (Solid Edge preferred) and mechanical schematics.
  • Experiance in designing and implementing equipment solutions to stabilize and scale up processes.
  • Experience in leading teams preferred.
