Office Manager

Overview of Role:

 Liquid Robotics is currently seeking a skilled Office Manager for our Jessup, MD facility. The Office Manager is a highly visible role that serves as the first point of contact for all guests visiting Liquid Robotics.  Reporting to the Head of Production, this position entails managing the day-to-day activities of the office to ensure Liquid Robotics headquarters is running smoothly. Examples of day-to-day activities are performing visitor badge screening/processing, ordering office supplies, ensuring routine maintenance activities are performed, coordinating with facility support contractors (i.e. cleaning services), and assisting with special projects that will use MS Office skills. The ability to adapt to a fast paced and dynamic environment is essential. The position will be based in Jessup, Maryland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to communicate and coordinate facility and visitor access policy and procedures to all employees.
  • Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or by telephone; answering or referring to inquiries and maintaining a visitor log.
  • Distribute security access badges for visiting employees.
  • Comply with HS&E policies and procedures.  
  • Completing and maintaining all facility documents required for Liquid Robotics Quality Management System compliance.
  • Managing and maintaining facilities support services/contractors (cleaners, equipment maintenance, etc.).
  • Maintaining and ordering office/manufacturing/kitchen/etc. Supplies.  
  • Assist with accounts payable including processing vendor invoices, verifying invoice details and obtaining approvals before payment.
  • Inspect building to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed. repairs. Making notes and recommendations using a check list.
  • Performs basic facilities work, with goal of minimizing external services required when possible. 
  • Sort and distribute mail & deliveries.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounts payable processes.
  • Prior military service or defense contracting experience is a plus.
  • Ability to push up to 100 pounds (on wheeled dollies/carts).
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.  
  • Ability to climb a ladder and step ladder
  • Ability to work outside (rain or shine) and walk a ¼ mile distance.   

U.S. Citizen status required.  

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $45,600 – $62,700
