Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced leader to join our Sr. Leadership Team. This person will oversee all sales and distribution in the assigned region and work to grow the customer base. Our ideal candidate will combine excellent communication skills with a strategic mindset.Â
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensures the optimum efficiency and effectiveness of Multi-District Sales effort by:
- Communicating the policies and procedures of the sales department to all in his/her charge.
- Making or approving decisions for personnelregardingemployment, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Resolving personnel problems, particularly those of a more complex nature.
- Guiding and advising personnel in the more complex phases of their work.
- Overseeing the preparation and administration of the annual budget.
- Ensures maximum sales volume at minimum cost. Monitors expense reports. Maintains and constantly improves the company’s competitive position.
- Develops and maintains good relations with key supplier management, direct services and key account relationships as necessary.
- Develops objectives, policies, and programs for sales and marketing activities; participates in the corporate long-term and short-term planning process.
- Negotiates contract terms and conditions in accordance with company policy.
- Coordinates the initial stages of new product planning and development, including marketing and sales objectives.
- Coordinates the project quotation process, supporting the AD buying group and other high net profit vendors.
- Represents the company to the community, the public in general, and various local, regional, state, and national organizations.
- Attends applicable trade association meetings/events to promote our company.
- Effectively integrates sales function with all other company areas: Credit, pricing, purchasing, marketing, etc.
- Motivates and coaches sales force for effective performance. Monitorsuse oftraining principles and their practice by the sales team.
- Define and oversee sales employee’s compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets.
- Directs and coordinates efforts between outside sales and product managers, and ensures the implementation, execution, and accomplishment of mutually identified goals.
- Will have the direct reporting responsibility for all outside sales representatives and product managers in the region.
- Serves as a member of various management committees/teams including marketing team and corporate staff.
- Conducts yearly performance reviews with all direct reports.Â
- Develops objectives, sales and gross profit forecasts, and programs for sales and marketing activities; participates in the regional long-term and short-term planning process.
- Maintains a focused team effort between outside sales, inside sales/customer service, and operations at all locations within the region.
- Works closely with internal departments, combining individual efforts to better serve the customer.
- Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies. Â

- Complete an accident/Incident report for any safety and/or health infractions that occur or witnessed.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 10-15 years ofsales experience.
- High degree of Self-Awareness, Self-Control, Interpersonal Understanding, Flexibility, Personal Influence & Vision.
- Proven results of leading sales teams towards long-term strategic goals.
- Electrical industry background preferred.Â
- Frequently travel to all branches inassignedregion.
