Premium Pay increase of .50¢/hour for all eligible employees working any hours on Saturday-Sunday, and weekdays before 6 am, or after 7 pm.
Position Overview:
Perform and oversee work in the areas of:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate daily operations of the Grocery Department and Liquor Store
- Meet sales, gross, and labor goals
- Department scheduling and time card approval
- Staff recruitment, orientation, and training
- Workplace safety
- Basic maintenance and repairs
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee customer service and the customer experience
- Direct and coordinate department production, pricing, and sales
- Review performance data and assess goal achievement to determine areas needing improvement
- Establish and implement departmental policies and goals
- Communicating issues with subordinates and superiors
- Interview and oversee the training of new employees
- Work with other managers in planning and directing promotional activities
- Oversee workplace safety in the Grocery Department
Requirements:
- Previous Department Manager, Supervisor, or equivalent experience
- Ability to pass a background check as described in the Safe Hiring Plan
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with computer systems
- Experience using office suites in a business setting, and/or equivalent education
- Comfort performing various monetary transactions
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with employees, customers, and vendors
- Strong organizational skills
