Line Cook - The River Room

When you come to Kiawah, you’ll know if it’s right for you the moment you set foot on the Island. It produces a feeling you can’t quite describe but you never want to let go.  

We are seeking a talented AM Line Cook for The River Room at The River Course. This is a great opportunity for passionate, dedicated, confident team players who want to learn and work in a fun, professional environment.  The River Room is open Tuesday-Saturday for lunch and dinner and is also responsible for many private events throughout the year, from weddings to golf tournaments and everything in between. 

Responsibilities 

- Prepare food according to recipe specifications and the Executive Chef's guidelines in a timely and efficient manner 

Qualifications 

- Proficient knowledge of hot food preparation, stocks, sauces, vegetable cookery, and meat temperatures  

- Previous experience required in a high-volume scratch kitchen  

- Experience in sauté, grill, broil, steam, fry, and salad stations 

- Knowledge of knife skills and cooking terms is essential  

- Knowledge of and adherence to sanitation rules is required
