Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced global health professional to co-direct our college of medicine’s global health initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all clinical aspects of QCoM’s global health program development, implementation, and management. In collaboration with the Director of Program Operations, the Medical Director will be responsible for managing international fellowships and resident and medical student rotations at international sites, including overseeing travel to ETSU-affiliated international sites. The Medical Director and Director of Program Operations will oversee and manage the global health program staff.
The Medical Director will work in tandem with the Director of Program Operations as a dyad to accomplish the goals of QCoM’s Global Health Program. Â
Requirements: Minimum of five years’ clinical experience in Global Health Capacity and Coalition Building, working and living in Low-Income Countries (LICs). Knowledge of medical and health care systems in LICs obtained through clinical practice.Â
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD)
- Minimum of five years’ experience working in LICs on global health initiatives and global health systems.Â

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of global health issues.
- Experience working in academia or at a research institution.
- Experience with medical education and residency programs.
- Familiarity with university policies and procedures.Â
